The Nitto Ridge Grappler is an all terrain, all season tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks. The variable pitch sequence of the tread design manages to lower the road noise levels heard during the drive. The pitch creates a sound frequency that cancels the road noise out. In this manner, the road noise is not heard in the vehicle’s cabin, which promotes a comfortable drive.
The unique reinforced block foundation increases the driving rigidity as they reduce tread flexing. As the tread does not flex during the drive, it is capable of evenly distributing the driving pressure along the entire tire surface. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking ensure even tread wear throughout the tire’s life, significantly increasing the tread life and the tire’s usability.
The Nitto Ridge Grappler promotes excellent all terrain traction. The special tread elements manage to firmly grip the soft, loose and uneven terrain surface. The alternating tapered tread block edges and the staggered shoulder lugs increase the number of biting edges that grip the road surface and ensure a safer driving experience. The off-road performance is further improved with the tread’s self-cleaning nature. The shoulder and lateral Z-shaped grooves and the stone ejectors work together to disperse snow and mud and eject rocks stuck between the tread elements. The constantly clean footprint ensures a safer off-road performance in all weather as it prevents stone retention.
