Uniroyal is a U.S. company that merged with BF Goodrich and eventually was bought by the French tire maker Michelin, the world’s biggest. Uniroyal Goodrich still manufactures tires in Indiana and Alabama. Uniroyal tires continue to be sold in the U.S. by chains such as NTB and Pepboys, independent shops and online discounters, so there are ample Uniroyal tires on the used tire market. Uniroyal supplies original equipment and replacement tires for cars, vans, pickups and SUVs, and commercial vehicles. The company’s most famous tire was the original Tiger Paw, original equipment on early Pontiac GTO muscle cars. Passenger car lines include tires that are rated as high as W (168 miles per hour) and warranted to the original owner for up to 70,000 miles.
