The Toyo M157 is a highway terrain, all season tire made for the trailer axle of commercial vehicles. The uniform footprint and the lowered pressure affecting the tire minimize the rolling resistance during the tire’s performance. This greatly lowers the vehicle’s needed fuel intake and CO2 emission levels, promoting a fuel conscious driving experience.
The reinforced internal structure utilizes the e-balance tire profile, the bead construction and the four steel belt construction to boost the load durability. These manufacturing elements work together to maintain the ideal tire shape under the load and driving pressure affecting the tire, which greatly enhances the load carrying capability. This results in the tire’s higher load capacity.
The Toyo M157 promotes a lengthened usability. The stronger four belt structure and the DSOC II technology improve the tread wear rate. The wider and durable belt construction prevents tread flexing which can generate unnecessary friction between the tire and the road surface during the drive. This is combined with the optimized footprint’s even pressure distribution along the tread area. The tread prevents irregular wear formations by equally circulating the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking along the tread area. The stronger compound, on the other hand, decreases the tread wear rate with the wear-resistant rubber materials. The tire, as a result, elongates its service life significantly.
