The Supermax HD1-Plus is a highway terrain, all season tire created for commercial vehicles. The model was built to be mounted on the drive axle of the vehicle.
The compound improves the model’s performance, as it preserves the rubber’s flexibility in cold and hot temperatures. The tire has a greater road-to-rubber ratio, increasing dry grip. The wet performance is secured with the help of the grooves that drain water and slush from beneath the tire. The winter traction is upgraded thanks to the sipes, which create additional biting edges to better grip snowy roads.
The tire is strengthened with a radial construction. The internal reinforcements also make the sidewall sturdier. This works well with the tread design, in optimizing pressure spread out across the footprint, lowering the chance of pressure build-up. As a result, the model can withstand greater weights easily, increasing its resilience to tread deformation during the drive.
The Supermax HD1-Plus greatly benefits from its ideal tread design. The solid shoulders and their closed design minimize the possibility of tread chipping. The grooves and the main knobs clear the footprint of snow and rocks, lowering tread damage. Furthermore, the shoulder ribs also serve to provide protection against uneven wear. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.
The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to TireMart by the tire manufacturer.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
