Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.

Sumitomo Encounter AT2 Tires

The Sumitomo Encounter AT2 is an all terrain, all weather tire manufactured for light trucks and SUVs. This model also has some commercial van sizes available. Sumitomo offers a 65,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.

The aggressive tread pattern and the rubber compound enhance the tire's traction on soft, loose, and uneven surfaces. The tire keeps continuous forward motion even on deep, muddy surfaces, thanks to its ideal tread pattern that firmly grips the surface with extra biting edges. At the same time, the optimized tread blocks and the wide grooves keep the footprint clean by eliminating mud, snow, and rocks stuck between the tread elements.

The model offers excellent controllability. The ideal tread pattern and the rubber compound work together to maintain continuous surface contact. These elements increase the tire's steering responsiveness and driving stability. The steering response time is quicker and more precise to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. The large tread blocks boost the model's cornering and maneuvering, ensuring a safe driving experience.

Great all weather traction is provided with this tire. The aggressive tread pattern and the all weather compound enhance the tire's dry, wet, and winter weather traction. In this manner, the ideal tread pattern closely follows the driving surface at all times, while the all weather compound keeps the rubber flexible in changing temperatures. These elements enable the tire to perform even in harsh winter conditions. The optimized grooves on the tread area prevent on-road hydroplaning, by dispersing water and slush from the footprint in wet-weather conditions.

The tire guarantees a quiet and comfortable on-road driving experience. The ideal tread pattern and the rubber compound minimize road and tread noise levels heard in the vehicle's cabin. The tread pattern creates a sound frequency that negates road noise levels heard while the tires are in motion. As a result, the tire guarantees a quiet and comfortable performance.

The Sumitomo Encounter AT2 upgrades its load and driving durability. The reinforced internal structure and the special silica compound keep the ideal tire shape under load and driving pressure. As the tire does not deform under pressure, it can easily carry and withstand heavy loads. This model also prevents punctures, cuts, and tears during the off-road performance.

All weather tires receive the three mountain peak and snowflake (3PMS) symbol for their exceptional winter weather performance. They are all season tires with extra winter weather grip, in order to guarantee safer year-round durability. This ensures their true and secure driving ability throughout the year.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
