The RoadStone (Nexen) N6000 is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. This tire promotes excellent summer weather traction. However, this tire is not designed to perform in colder winter temperatures as it won’t maintain its traction or flexibility.
This tire also provides excellent high speed performance. The symmetric tread provides grip even at high speeds while the compound resists heat build-up. The traction is further improved by the circumferential and angled lateral grooves which keep the footprint clear of water and slush. This avoids hydroplaning and boosts the summer weather driving safety.
The N6000’s tread design features optimized tread block placement and a continuous center rib to improve controllability. The center rib maintains close road contact, improving the steering responsiveness and driving stability, while the optimized block placement helps stabilize the tire against the driving pressure. The ideal shoulder block design boosts the cornering and maneuvering ability by adding additional biting edges. The improved road contact and additional biting edges also help generate friction at the moment of braking, shortening the braking distance. The wide grooves and open shoulder pattern work together to lower the road noise, channeling air between the tread elements and ensuring a quiet, comfortable performance.
