Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.

Mastercraft Glacier Trex

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • Winter weather traction
  • Enhanced controllability
  • Upgraded ice and snow grip
  • High driving comfort levels

OVERVIEW

The Mastercraft Glacier Trex is a touring, winter tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs.

The tire promotes great winter weather traction. The detailed directional tread design and the winter compound increase the ice and snow and cold temperature performance. The tread design's directional pattern features a high-density siping detail and special Snow Groove II grooves. The sipes increase the number of biting edges gripping the ice and snow-covered road surfaces, while the snow grooves pack snow between the tread elements to boost its snow-on-snow and snow-on-ice traction during its performance. Mastercraft's Winter Compound Technology keeps the rubber flexibility in colder temperatures, maintaining the tire's rubber flexibility and keeping the model pliable even in severe winter weather. The tread's lateral and circumferential groove placement boosts the hydroplaning resistance. These tread elements enhance the water and slush eliminating capability and optimize the tire's surface contact to improve the winter weather driving safety.

The tread design's ideal elements also manage to increase the controllability in winter conditions. The directional pattern's continuous center tread block rib placement closely follows the road surface throughout the tire's performance. This enables the tire to increase the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. As a result, the steering is faster and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The optimally placed shoulder tread block detail boosts the cornering ability. These blocks enhance the number of biting edges gripping the road surface while the tires are in motion, enabling the tire to increase the maneuvering power. The tread's detailed siping pattern creates friction between the tire and the road surface to shorten the braking distance by enhancing the braking power significantly. This combination heightens the driver's control over the vehicle in versatile winter weather.

The Glacier Trex boosts the driving comfort levels. This tire features an ideal groove pattern that manages to channel airwaves through the footprint, without allowing their contact with the tread elements. As a result, the road and tread pattern noise are not generated while the tires are in motion, which ensures the passenger's comfortable and enjoyable driving experience.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
