Manufacturer Free Road Hazard

The manufacturer’s road hazard warranty is only offered for new tires.

Tires can get accidentally damaged even during the course of everyday driving. This type of damage is called a road hazard and it occurs when a puncture, bruise or impact causes tire failure to shorten the tire’s service life. Road hazard can range from curb damage, to any type of damage caused by potholes, glass shards or nails.

Most manufacturers only offer mileage warranty with new tires. However, a few brands have taken another step in their customer satisfaction policies and cover road hazard damage as well. In such cases, the road hazard warranty allows the damaged tire to be replaced or reimbursed if tread, structural or manufacturing failures cause the tire’s reduced usability.

For a customer to receive the manufacturer’s road hazard warranty, their new tires have to be registered on the manufacturer’s website. Furthermore, some manufacturers require additional factors to be present during the tire purchase and mounting for the road hazard warranty to be applied. If these requirements are not met, the brand is not required to cover the damaged tire with their road hazard insurance.

TireMart has created a list of the manufacturers we are currently working with who offer road hazard insurance with new tires purchases:
