Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.
Features and Benefits:
The Kumho Wintercraft SUV Ice WS31 is a touring, winter tire made for SUVs.
The tire boosts the winter weather traction. It combined the detailed directional tread design and the winter weather compound to boost the ice and snow grip. The high-density siping placement provides additional biting edges to grip the ice- and snow-covered road surface, while the compound maintains the rubber flexibility in freezing temperatures. The tread area is pinned for studs, which can be added to the tread to further increase the ice and snow traction. The tread's angled lateral grooves avoid hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush from below the footprint, optimizing the wet weather performance in winter conditions.
The tread design maintains the road contact at all times. The constant road contact improves the controllability. By keeping the footprint's surface contact, the model boosts its steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In other words, it guarantees a quicker and more precise response to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure. This combination promotes the driver's better control over the vehicle throughout its performance.
The Kumho Wintercraft SUV Ice WS31 enhances the maneuvering capability. The ideal shoulder pattern and the directional design of the tread boost the cornering and braking power. The shoulder block placement with the siping placement provides additional biting edges to grip the road surface during maneuvering. This significantly upgrades the cornering power. On the other hand, the directional tread's high-density siping detail generates friction between the tire and the road surface at the moment of braking. The result is a stronger braking power, which greatly shortens the braking distance, even when driving on ice- and snow-covered road surface conditions.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
