The Hankook Optimo H426B (*) is a touring, all season tire made for passenger vehicles. This model is the original equipment tire of select BMW vehicles.
The model promotes excellent all season performance. This ideal tread design and all season compound work together to offer safe year-round traction. In this manner, the optimal tread design maintains close surface contact, while the compound keeps rubber flexible in various temperatures. As a result, they increase traction in dry, wet, and winter conditions. Wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning as they eliminate water and slush from the footprint, offering a safe driving experience.
The asymmetric tread design and its strong construction enable the tire to boost controllability. This tread pattern and its close road contact improve steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the steering response time is faster and more precise to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. Wide shoulder blocks and their strong grip upgrade cornering. The siping detail and the close road contact shorten the braking distance, by creating friction when stopping. These elements enable the driver to have full control over the vehicle.
This tire is a run flat mode. It has a strong internal structure that is able to withstand the weight of the vehicle and its passengers during air pressure loss. The tire manages to perform for 25 miles up to 25 mph in case of air pressure loss. This enables the tire's limited, temporary performance, preventing the vehicle from being stranded on the side of the road. The run-flat tires should not be mounted on the same vehicle as the regular ones, because they have a heavier construction.
