The Goodyear G282 MSD is a highway terrain, all season tire made for commercial vehicles. This model is made to be mounted on the drive axle.
The special tread design and the tire compound ensure excellent all weather traction. The open-lug tread design grips the road in dry, wet, and winter weather conditions. The all season compound prevents heat build-up during hot summer temperatures and keeps the rubber flexible in colder weather. The special tread design can be used for occasional off-road applications as well. The aggressive, non-directional tread design eliminates mud and snow from the footprint, enhancing the tire's constant road surface contact, and allowing a safer driving experience and better performance throughout the year.
The deep tread design, the rubber compound, and the shoulder ribs evenly distribute load and driving pressure, promoting consistent road contact. The tread evenly circulates the forces of cornering, braking, and acceleration, keeping the tread wear slow and even. The rubber compound also slows down the treadwear rate. This combination of the deep tread design and the special rubber compound keeps the tread wear even and resists irregular wear formations. These features significantly extend the tire's service life.
The Goodyear G282 MSD promotes excellent damage resistance. The durable rubber compound and the strong construction enhance the tire's cut, tear, and puncture resistance. All damage that may harm the tire's casing and shorten its service life is avoided in this manner. Better damage resistance enhances the tire's on- and off-road driving safety.
There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.
The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertized represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
