Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS EMT

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • Run flat tire
  • Summer weather traction
  • High speed durability
  • Enhanced controllability

OVERVIEW

The Goodyear Eagle F1 GS EMT is a high performance summer run flat tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire was made with the Extended Mobility Technology. This technology strengthens the tire's structure for it to be able to withstand the weight of the vehicle and its passengers in case of air pressure loss. After the air pressure leaves the tire, it can still be driven on for 50 miles up to the speed of 50 mph. In this manner, the driver will not be stranded on the side of the road after a puncture, but they will safely arrive to a location where they can change or fix the tire. Run flat tires are manufactured with a heavier construction and as a result they cannot be mixed with regular tires.

The model offers great summer weather traction. The special ATTRAX tire compound and the directional tread design increase the dry and wet weather traction. The compound is ‘AA' rated for its exceptional wet weather traction, while it also increases the dry weather traction. The tread design manages to maintain its road grip in summer weather conditions as well. The tire, however, is not made to be used in winter weather. The tread design loses its road gripping ability on ice and snow, and the tire compound doesn't keep its flexibility in colder temperatures. The wide Dual Aquachannel grooves manage to prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The superb traction and hydroplaning resistance improve the summer weather driving safety.

The tire has exceptional high speed performing capability. The ATTRAX compound and the reinforced internal structure work together to increase the high speed performance. The special compound ensures first-rate high speed performance in summer conditions. It provides superb road gripping ability in both wet and dry weather. The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced with spiral wrapped nylon overlays and an angled ply casing. They prevent the tire's optimal shape from deforming under the high speed driving pressure. As the tire maintains its optimal shape during the drive, it keeps its optimized road contact as well, which manages to lower the road vibrations felt in the vehicle's cabin. The combination of the compound and the tire's construction increases the high speed performing capability with ease.

The Eagle F1 GS EMT features a multi-radius profile, which improves its controllability. It keeps the tire close to the road surface, managing to enhance the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In this manner, the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure, while the steering becomes quick and precise in its responsiveness to the driver's instructions. The result is a safer and more precise high speed performance.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
