Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.

Goodyear Convenience Spare Nylon

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • Temporary spare tire
  • All weather traction
  • Enhanced controllability

OVERVIEW

The Goodyear Convenience Spare Nylon is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This is a temporary convenience spare tire.

This tire features a lightweight construction and a smaller physical size than a regular tire. This combination minimizes the space it takes up in the vehicle's trunk, making it easier to transport. However, it also means the tire cannot perform as well as a full sized spare tire can. The tire promotes a limited temporary performance when mounted on a vehicle, much like a donut spare tire. The performance speed is limited to 50 mph and the tire pressure must be 60 psi at all times. Compact or temporary spare tires do not offer as good of a performance as regular all season tires do, as a result, they should not be used in harsh weather.

The shallow tread design and the all season tire compound work together to provide a suitable all weather performance. The symmetric tread design with the angled tread block placement enhances the number of biting edges gripping the road surface, while the special tread detail also helps improve the traction in dry, wet and winter weather conditions. The all season compound keeps the rubber flexibility in versatile terrain surface conditions, boosting the year round driving safety. The tread design's circumferential and angled lateral grooves disperse water and slush from below the footprint, avoiding hydroplaning and improving the wet and winter weather grip. However, these tires are not suited for harsh weather, as convenience spare tires are made for temporary use only.

The Convenience Spare Nylon upgrades its controllability. The tire's smaller physical sizes pose a challenge to the vehicle's handling, but the maintained road contact manages to upgrade the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The steering is steady and precise in its response to the driver's commands throughout the vehicle's performance, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the model. This combination enhances the driver's control over the vehicle in versatile weather.

This is a bias ply or diagonal tire. Due to the tire's internal construction and size, it is possible that the tire will look deformed. Smaller diagonal tires do not have reinforced constructions that can keep the tire from deforming. The bias construction and the small tire's non-reinforced internal structure allow the tire to fold in when it is deflated or not properly inflated. This is not constructional damage or an issue; it is a normal occurrence with such tires. In such cases, the tire needs to be mounted and inflated to the proper PSI or, in some instances, an inner tube needs to be added. The proper PSI and the inner tube are able to maintain the tire's ideal shape, preventing the bias plies from looking deformed. This ensures their performing safety and durability.

The photo is a representation of the tire's possible deformation, it does not represent the specific tire model, size, tread pattern and application.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please note this is Original Equipment (O.E.) tire size only. The O.E. size is determined by the year, make, model and options of the vehicle. Original Equipment size data is the best information we currently have available to us. TireMart.com is not responsible for fitment errors. The most important aspect of purchasing a tire is its size, which cannot vary. It is buyer's responsibility to verify the tire size information. It is buyer's responsibility to verify whether a specific tire is suitable for a specific vehicle. However, this tire size may be fitted on other vehicles as well. To ensure that you are purchasing the correct tire size for your vehicle, please check the size of your currently mounted tires (locate on the tire's sidewall). The tire's sidewall also features the speed and load rating, indicating the speed and load capacity of the specific tire. The speed and load index can differ from the tires you currently have mounted on your vehicle up to a degree. Please check your vehicle's Owner's Manual or consult with your mechanic regarding the changes of your tire's speed rating and load index. If you have any questions regarding your tire size , speed rating and load index please contact us prior to purchasing and confirm with certified auto technician of any variance in speed and load index and sizes.
