The Gislaved Nord Frost 200 is a touring, winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire promotes exceptional winter weather traction. The tire upgrades the winter weather traction by utilizing the detailed asymmetric tread design and the winter compound. The asymmetric tread design with the high-density siping placement enhances the number of biting edges gripping the road surface during the drive. This enables the tire to firmly grip the ice- and snow-covered road surfaces to further boost the tire's performing ability. The winter compound keeps the rubber flexibility in freezing temperatures, which allows the tire to maintain the optimal traction in extreme winter conditions. The ideal tread's circumferential and angled lateral grooves prevent hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush from the footprint and prevent them from cutting off the tire's surface contact. This further upgrades the wet and winter traction. The tire is also pinned for studs. They can be added to enhance the ice and snow grip and to ensure the tire's safe winter weather performing capability.
The Nord Frost 200 upgrades the controllability. The tire uses the tread design to enhance the handling, maneuvering and the braking ability in severe winter conditions. The asymmetric tread design and the flat footprint work together to boost the surface contact during the drive. In this manner, the tire improves the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver's instructions, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The outer shoulder area's larger shoulder block pattern and its siping placement manage to increase the cornering grip. The tire boosts the grip on the road with extra biting edges during cornering and maneuvering. The high-density siping placement creates friction between the tire and the road surface at the moment of braking. This friction, even on ice- and snow-covered road surfaces, shortens the braking distance by boosting the braking power.
