Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.
Features and Benefits:
The General Ameritrac is a highway terrain, all season tire made for SUVs and light trucks.
The tire utilizes the symmetric ribbed pattern and the all season compound to boost the dry, wet and winter weather grip. The all season compound elements and the detailed tread pattern enhance the year round traction. The durable compound optimizes the rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures, from the heat of summer to colder winter situations. The tread elements enhance the number of biting edges gripping the road surface during its performance. The tread's circumferential grooves disperse water and slush from below the footprint, ensuring the surface contact and preventing hydroplaning.
The high driving comfort levels throughout the tire's performance are ensured with the stronger structure and the symmetric ribbed pattern. The construction features a polyester body cord which maintains the ideal tire shape and ensures the tire's close surface contact throughout the drive. In this manner, the tire is able to absorb the shock of driving, minimizing the road vibrations felt by the passengers. The symmetric ribbed pattern manages to channel airwaves through the footprint, without allowing their contact with the tread elements. As a result, the road and tread pattern noise are not generated while the tires are in motion. This ensures a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
The tread design and stronger construction upgrades the controllability. The tread design's independent tread blocks improve the surface contact throughout the performance, which enhances the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. This enables the tire to be quicker and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure. The durable twin steel belt of the construction upgrades the load durability, which enables the tire to carry and withstand the load pressure, which improves the overall load capacity. This promotes a safer load durability.
The General Ameritrac extends the usability. The internal structure is stabilized against the tread area. The tread elements and the internal structure's durability improve the service life by avoiding irregular and premature wear formations. The tread resists tread flexing, which evenly distributes the driving pressure along the tread area. The result is a longer lasting tread life.
This tire model was manufactured as the original equipment tire of select vehicles.
Not all tire sizes are suitable for all vehicle types. Please refer to the item specifications for accurate information about vehicle type fitment for this particular size.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
