The Firestone FS818 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made for the all axle position of these vehicles.
The tire promotes great traction. The detailed tread pattern with the block sipes and the block edge design work together to increase the number of biting edges. The better grip enables the tire to securely perform in dry, wet and winter weather conditions. These tread elements also enable the model to improve its on- and off-highway surface gripping capability, which offers more application possibilities to the model. This guarantees the tire's safer performing capability.
The tread design's zigzag grooves pattern features stone rejector platforms. These platforms actively prevent stone retention from drilling rocks into the casing and damaging the tire as they eject them from between the tread elements. The tire's durable compound and stronger internal structure also make it resistant to damages. The stronger compound avoids the tread's chipping, cracking and tearing, while the structure resists cuts and punctures from penetrating the casing. This guarantees the tire's damage free performing capability.
The reinforced internal structure also improves the load capacity. The four steel belt construction upgrades the tire's load and driving durability by maintaining the ideal tire shape. As the tire's optimal shape does not deform under the pressure affecting it, it can carry and withstand heavier loads with ease. This guarantees the tire's safer heavy load handling durability.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
