Continental ProContact GX SSR Tires
The Continental ProContact GX SSR is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. The model offers a comfortable and quiet drive. The tire compound located under the tread area absorbs the road vibrations and offers a comfortable drive. The special tread design’s variable pitch sequence cancels out the road noise heard in the cabin. The result is a more enjoyable driving experience.
The model has great all weather traction and it grips the road well in dry, wet and winter weather thanks to the silica-based compound. The circumferential ribs provide hydroplaning resistance by eliminating water and slush from below the tire footprint. The silica compound also lowers the rolling resistance by reducing the driving pressure on the tire, which decreases the vehicle’s CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.
The Continental ProContact GX SSR is a run flat model, which means that it offers a limited temporary performance after the loss of air pressure. It can be driven on for 50 miles at up to the speed of 50 mph in case of air pressure loss. These tires provide safety as the driver will not be stranded on the side of the road. These tires are manufactured for vehicles that do not have space for a spare tire. This reinforced structure and the tire’s optimized footprint improves the steering responsiveness and accuracy and driving stability. These tires cannot be mixed with regular tires on the same vehicle.
