Continental ExtremeContact Sport Tires
The Continental ExtremeContact Sport is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for performance vehicles. The model elongates its tread life. The optimized tire footprint equally spreads the driving pressure out across the tread area. This even distribution of the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking prevents irregular tread wear patterns from forming across the tread area, which extends the tread life and usability.
The +Silane tire compound and asymmetric tread pattern grips the road well in dry and wet weather conditions. It is not suited for winter weather driving as the tire compound does not maintain its road gripping ability in lower winter weather temperatures. The wide circumferential tread grooves actively avoid hydroplaning situations, further improving the wet weather traction, by dispersing water from beneath the tire footprint.
The Continental ExtremeContact Sport was designed with the SportPlus Technology, which ensures a well-rounded performing ability. The tire is in constant road contact with the road thanks to the solid center rib. The special five-rib tread design grips onto the road with the special outside shoulder design that increases the high speed driving stability and steering responsiveness. The high tensile steel belt inner structure enhances the model’s high speed durability by maintaining the optimal tire shape, making the tire safer to use at high speeds.
