The Continental CST 17 is a touring, all season spare tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This is a spare tire which has a smaller physical size than the vehicle’s regular tires. This tire needs to be inflated at 60 psi and it can only be driven up to a speed of 50 mph. The tire is a non-identical spare tire, which takes up less space in the vehicle’s trunk.
The all season compound and the ideal tread design improve the dry, wet and winter weather grip. The compound keeps the rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures, while the tread design firmly grips the road surface with extra biting edges. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush, but careful driving is still required.
The Continental CST 17 enhances the controllability. The spare tires narrow road contact area optimizes the surface contact to boost the steering responsiveness and the driving stability.
