Continental CrossContact LX Sport SSR Tires
The Continental CrossContact LX Sport SSR is a touring, all season tire made for passenger vehicles. The SSR technology enables the tire to be driven on after air pressure loss for 50 miles up to 50 mph. This enables the tire’s limited temporary performance in case of air pressure loss caused by a puncture or other damage. Run flat tires cannot be used together with regular tires.
The ContiSilent technology ensures the tire’s comfortable and enjoyable driving experience. This technology places a sound-absorbing foam lining on the tire’s inner lining along the tread area. This foam filters the road and tread pattern noise through itself, dampening and negating the soundwaves before they could reach the vehicle’s cabin. This decreases the road noise levels heard in the vehicle’s cabin while the tires are in motion
The Continental CrossContact LX Sport SSR improves its all weather controllability. The tread design’s road contact upgrades the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver’s commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The silica-based compound creates friction between the tire and the road surface at the moment of braking, which shortens the braking distance. This special tire compound also decreases the tire’s rolling resistance, which significantly decreases the vehicle’s fuel consumption and CO2 emission. In this manner, the tire becomes fuel efficient and environmentally friendly performance.
