The Continental VanContact A/S is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vans.
The tire offers a secure all weather performance. The tread design's symmetric ribbed pattern, with the high-density siping detail, increases the grip on the road surface in dry, wet and winter weather, by enhancing the number of biting edges. The all season compound enhances the rubber flexibility in various temperatures and keeps the tire pliable throughout the year. The tread's zigzag circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush from below the footprint and increase the wet and winter traction. This combination ensures the tire's excellent year round performance.
The tread design boosts the controllability. The symmetric ribbed pattern keeps the model's surface contact throughout the drive. This upgrades the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In other words, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The high-density siping detail increases the braking ability. The sipes create friction between the tire and the road surface, enhancing the braking power and shortening the braking distance. In this manner, the tire enables the driver's full control over the vehicle throughout its performance.
The VanContact A/S offers a fuel efficient performance. The better traction and constant surface contact ease the driving pressure off the tire. This significantly decreases the rolling resistance, which is the driving pressure affecting the model that determines the vehicle's needed fuel intake. The lessened rolling resistance reduces the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, offering a fuel conscious driving experience. The decreased rolling resistance works together with the tread design to lengthen the tread life. They ensure a slower and even wear rate and manner to extend the model's usability and service life.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
