Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.
Features and Benefits:
The Continental CrossContact AT is an all terrain, all season tire made for SUVs and light trucks.
The tire guarantees great traction in summer weather traction. The dry and wet weather traction is ensured by the silica-based tire compound and the optimal tread design. The traction in wet conditions and first-rate dry surface performance are due to the silica compound. The tread elements also improve the road grip in these types of weather conditions. The wide zigzag circumferential and lateral grooves and the open shoulder design enhance water dispersing capability to effectively prevent hydroplaning. The better traction and hydroplaning resistance ensure a high level of safety in summer weather conditions. The model is not suited for winter weather, as the compound does not maintain its flexibility in colder temperatures.
The tread design guarantees a confident off-road performance. The model's optimal tread pattern with the staggered tread blocks, wide grooves, open shoulder pattern, and detailed siping design increase its off-road capability. This boosts the soft, loose, and uneven terrain conditions. The tread pattern also maintains a clean footprint. Mud and rocks are prevented from getting stuck between the tread by the large, staggered tread elements. This keeps the footprint clean and prevents the tire from getting blocked from its contact with the road and terrain surface and resists stone retention that could cause damage to the tire's casing.
The model is easily controlled both on- and off-road. The wider shoulder tread blocks of the tread design, upgrade the contact with the road and terrain surface. The steering responsiveness, accuracy, and driving stability are enhanced by the consistent road contact. The braking capability is enhanced by the optimal siping detail. The sipes create friction between the tire and the surface at the moment of braking, which manages to shorten the braking distance significantly, ensuring a high level of performance and safety during the drive.
The CrossContact AT also provides a quiet drive. The road noise levels heard in the vehicle's cabin are minimized, thanks to the tread design's optimal road contact and computer-designed tread pattern. The tread pattern channels the airwaves through the tire's footprint without letting them come into contact with the tread elements. This ensures the road noise is not generated while the tires are in motion, which guarantees a quiet and enjoyable driving experience.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
