The Continental ContiSportContact 5 (MO) is a high performance summer tire made for passenger vehicles.
This model is marked with the MO rating, which means it is a Mercedes-Benz Original model and it was manufactured to be used as the original equipment tire for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. It was tested and approved by the vehicle manufacturer to bring out the maximum performance abilities of the Mercedes-Benz vehicles, as it is the highest quality tire on the tire market.
The tire has excellent summer weather traction. It grips the road well in dry and wet weather conditions, but it will not perform well in the colder winter weather as it loses its traction in lower temperatures. The tire's wide circumferential tread grooves provide additional safety, as they channel the water from below the footprint, resisting hydroplaning in the process. The tire provides a safer driving experience this way.
The lower rolling resistance also enhances the tire's performance. The Black Chilli tire compound keeps the tire cooler for longer, reducing its rolling resistance. The center rib in the tread pattern offers an improved steering precision. The tire maintains constant road contact which enhances its steering accuracy and response time.
