The Bridgestone Turanza EL450 RFT (OE) is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model has some high performance sizes available. This model is the original equipment tire of specific vehicles.
The tire promotes great all season traction. The all season compound and the detailed tread elements significantly upgrade the dry, wet, and winter weather grip on the road surface. The durable compound keeps the rubber flexibility in summer and winter conditions, by utilizing stronger rubber materials. The siping and notch placement generates extra biting edges, upgrading the grip on the road surface. The four circumferential grooves help to disperse water and slush from the footprint, resisting hydroplaning in the process.
High speed controllability is ensured with the ideal tread design. The asymmetric ribbed tread design enhances the steering responsiveness and driving stability. As a result, the tire ensures the road contact at all times which boosts the steering response time and accuracy to the driver's commands, while the structure is secures against the driving pressure affecting the tire. The shoulder block placement upgrades the cornering ability with the use of extra biting edges, while the sipe and notch pattern reduce the overall braking distance. The combination of these elements greatly improves the driving safety levels.
This is a run flat model. It utilizes its reinforced internal structure to ensure its limited, temporary performance after air pressure loss. Once air pressure leaves the tire, it can still be driven on for 50 miles up to 50 mph. This prevents the tire from being stranded on the side of the road due to damage. Instead, the tire can be driven to a nearby location, where the damaged tire can be changed or fixed. Run flat tires should never be mounted on the same vehicle mixed with regular tires, as their internal structure makes them heavier.
The tread design and the durable compound manage to provide better high speed durability. The ribbed pattern of the asymmetric tread design and the durable, heat-resistant compound elements ease the pressure off the tire. They effectively avoid heat build-up during the performance. The Turanza EL450 RFT (OE) promotes high driving comfort levels. The tread design and the variable pitch placement along the footprint enable the tire to greatly decrease the road noise levels.
