OVERVIEW

The Bridgestone R197 Ecopia is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on all axle positions.

The tire promotes a lengthened tread life. The tread pattern and the all season durable tire compound work together to extend the tire's usability. The tread design's stress-relief ribbed siping pattern and the defense groove structure ease the driving pressure off the tread area, slowing the tread wear rate (along with the durable compound) and ensuring even tread wear formations. The shallow tread depth helps stabilize the tread elements to decrease the possibility of uneven wear. This results in a longer lasting tread and service life which improves the tire's removal mileage.

The combination of the model's construction, tread design and compound reduces the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The symmetric ribbed tread design with the shallow tread depth evenly circulates the driving pressure along the tread area, lowering its effect on the tire. The shallow tread depth also actively resists tread flexing during the drive. The special NanoPro-Tech compound's polymer elements lessen the energy loss, which decreases the rolling resistance. The construction maintains the ideal tire shape under the driving and load pressure affecting the tire. This also helps reduce the driving pressure during the tire's performance. In this manner, the tire improves the fuel efficiency greatly and guarantees an environmentally friendly performance.

The R197 Ecopia offers an excellent all weather traction. The symmetric ribbed tread design with the siping detail and the all season compound increase the tire's grip on the road surface in dry, wet and winter weather conditions. The siping pattern boosts the number of biting edges gripping the road surface, while the ribbed design maintains the tire's constant road contact. The durable compound improves the tire's rubber flexibility in various conditions, enhancing the year round driving safety. The circumferential grooves and the cross-rib sipes resist hydroplaning as they eliminate water and slush from below the tire's footprint, upgrading the wet and winter weather performing capability.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
