The Astro Tires Silverstone is an all terrain, all season tire manufactured for light trucks.
This model is a tubed tire type. This means that the tire needs an inner tube in order to hold air pressure correctly and to properly function. The inner tube helps the tire maintain its correct air pressure levels, ensuring its safer performance.
The symmetric ribbed tread design upgrades the controllability. The footprint maintains the surface contact while the tires are in motion, upgrading the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In other words, the tire upgrades the steering response time and accuracy to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the tire. The solid shoulder ribs further increase the road contact and boost the cornering and maneuvering ability. This combination ensures the tire's exceptional performing ability and power.
The symmetric tread design and the all season compound upgrade the year round traction. The tread design firmly grips the road surface at all times, with the use of extra biting edges. The compound optimizes the rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures, boosting the summer and winter weather traction. The tread design's circumferential grooves resist hydroplaning as they disperse water and slush from the footprint, optimizing the tire's surface contact. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.
This is a Tubed Type Tire (TT), which requires an inner tube to properly function. This purchase does not include the inner tube or flaps.
The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertized represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
