Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.

OVERVIEW

The Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT2 is a highway terrain, winter tire manufactured for light trucks.

The tread design and the winter compound work together to boost the winter weather road gripping ability. The directional tread design with the high-density siping detail and the optimal groove pattern increases the grip on the ice- and snow-covered road surfaces, while the compound maintains the rubber flexibility in colder temperatures. The tread design also avoids hydroplaning. The tread is studded, which further increases its grip on ice and snow. The zigzag circumferential and angled lateral grooves, along with the open shoulder tread design, enhances the water and slush dispersing ability. In this manner, the tire actively avoids hydroplaning. This combination keeps the tire pliable throughout the winter months, ensuring its exceptional winter weather performance.

The tread design's directional pattern features a continuous center rib which closely follows the road surface. As a result, the tire manages to keep the tire's surface contact throughout its performance, boosting the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In other words, the better road contact enhances the tire's steering responsiveness and accuracy to the driver's instructions and it secures the model's structural stability during its performance, increasing the driver's control over the vehicle. The tire features a reinforced internal structure. Nokian's Aramid Sidewall Technology places aramid fibers into the sidewall's construction, upgrading the tire's durability. This enables the tire to carry and withstand heavy loads with ease, without allowing the tire shape's deformation under the load and driving pressure affecting the model. This increases the tire's load capacity significantly.

The Hakkapeliitta LT2 features tread wear indicators along the tread area. The Driving Safety Indicator (DSI) and the Winter Safety Indicator (WSI) visually represent the tread wear rate and manner of the tire. The DSI places percentages on the tire, which wear out along with the tire. They portray the percentage of tread depth left on the tires, enabling the driver to follow the tire's tread wear rate. The WSI places a snowflake symbol on the tread. This snowflake is visible until the tire reaches 40% of tread depth. This is the tread depth at which the tire loses its extreme winter traction and it is no longer able to offer the same traction in winter conditions as before. These tread elements increase the winter weather driving safety.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
