This is a run flat tire model. It was made with Michelin's Zero Pressure technology which enables the tire's limited temporary performance in case of air pressure loss. In such instances, the tire can be driven on for 50 miles up to 50 mph, preventing the vehicle from getting stranded on the side of the road. This allows the tire to be driven to a nearby location when the damaged tire can be taken care of. These tires are not to be mixed with regular tires on the same vehicle.
This model was manufactured with the Green X technology which optimizes the fuel efficiency. This technology utilizes the stronger all season traction and the compound's heat resistance to minimize the rolling resistance.
