Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.

OVERVIEW

The Hankook Kinergy PT is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Hankook offers a 90,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.

The model promotes great all weather traction. The special high structure and small particle size carbon black compound increases the all season traction by maintaining its flexibility even in colder temperatures. The asymmetric tread design with its high siping density manage to firmly grip the road surface in dry, wet and winter weather. The tread's wide circumferential grooves, large lateral shoulder grooves and water slant sipes work together to disperse water and slush from below the tire's footprint to effectively resist hydroplaning when driving through standing water. The better hydroplaning and excellent all weather traction ensure a secure driving experience in all conditions.

The tread design upgrades the model's controllability. The special optimized tread block stiffness prevents tread flexing during the drive, improving the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the steering is faster and more precise in its responsiveness to the driver's instructions, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it. The asymmetric tread design's outer shoulder pattern increases the number of biting edges that firmly grip the road surface in all conditions to promote a safer cornering and maneuvering ability. In this manner, the tire provides a safer performance throughout the year.

The model's tread design features Visual Alignment Indicators, VAI for short. They are located on the tire's shoulders parallel to one another and the way they wear visually represents the tread wear rate and uniformity of the tire. If both shoulders are identical, the tire is wearing in an even manner. However, if the wear rate of the VAI is different the tire is wearing in an uneven manner, which might be the caused by a bad alignment. In these cases, the vehicle needs to be checked to ensure everything is in order.

The Kinergy PT offers a longer lasting tread life. The optimized tread block stiffness actively resists tread flexing, which can cause uneven wear. The stiff tread area enables the model to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking lengthen the tread life and the tire's usability by preventing irregular tread wear formations. The stronger tire compound also extends the tread life. It slows the tread wear rate down significantly as it is wear-resistant.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.

To ensure that you are purchasing the correct tire size for your vehicle, please check the size of your currently mounted tires (locate on the tire's sidewall). The tire's sidewall also features the speed and load rating, indicating the speed and load capacity of the specific tire. The speed and load index can differ from the tires you currently have mounted on your vehicle up to a degree. Please check your vehicle's Owner's Manual or consult with your mechanic regarding the changes of your tire's speed rating and load index. If you have any questions regarding your tire size , speed rating and load index please contact us prior to purchasing and confirm with certified auto technician of any variance in speed and load index and sizes.
